SUMMARY:Susie Q's Kids Bag Stuffing Event- Impact 100 Macomb and Christian Womens Networking Group
DESCRIPTION:Susie Q’s Kids is having a comfort bag stuffing promoted by Impact 100 Macomb and Christian Women’s Business Networking Group \nVolunteers are welcome to stop and learn about Susie Q’s Kids\, the nonprofit that will receive the comfort bags\, and about Lionism \nKids are welcome and encouraged to attend as we promote “Kids Helping Kids” \n \n\nSusie Q’s Kids\n\nI have shared some information on how we started\, my books and speaking opportunities to raise hope\, healing\, suicide awareness\, and prevention (we were named the Community Partner of the Year for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention\, AFSP)\, and the role of positive reflection along with our nonprofit Susie Q’s Kids which provides comfort bags to kids in need in our community.  We have been listed as a Top-rated Greatnonpfit for the past two years and are committed to furthering the missions of other non-profits\, engaging our kids in “Kids Helping Kids” and brightening and inspiring the lives of kids in need.\n \nBackground\n\n\nSusie Q’s Kids was started in honor of our daughter Susie McBride.  She loved children and giving back. She spent a lot of time in hospitals and understood the value of a teddy bear\, blanket\, and inspirational and comfort items\, along with journals and coloring books. Our bags provide comfort to kids in hospitals\, shelters\, foster care\, and those grieving the loss of loved ones. The bags are tailored to the needs of the kids in various nonprofits\, some contain hygiene kits\, some grief material\, and some sensory items.\n\n\nWe are the Community Partner of the Year for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness (AFSP)\, we understand the mental health of our kids is important and hope our comfort bags provide some hope and healing.\n\n\nSusie Q’s Kids (a 501c3 nonprofit) provides comfort bags to kids in need in our community\, We strive to brighten and inspire the lives of children in hospitals\, shelters\, foster care\, dealing with autism or disabilities\, advocacy centers\, schools\, and those grieving the loss of loved ones “One comfort bag at a time”.\n\n\nOur mission is three-fold:\n*  To further the missions of the nonprofits who distribute our comfort bags to kids in need in their programs: hospitals\, shelters\, foster care\, schools\, autism centers\, refuge centers\, advocacy centers\, camps\, and grief agencies.\n\n\n\n*  To encourage “Kids in Helping Kids” through philanthropy\, fundraising\, and creating and distributing our comfort bags.\n\n\n*  To brighten and inspire the lives of kids in need in our community\, one comfort bag at a time.\n\nBag Stuffing Event at Warren Cousino School/Leadership Group\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAround Town – Susie Q’s Kids with Cousino Leadership\nThe Cousino Leadership Students recently raised funds to help local children through Susie Q’s Kids. SUMMARY:Susie Q's Kids Bag Stuffing Event (CANCELED THIS MONTH)
DESCRIPTION:Susie Q’s Kids has their monthly bag stuffing at the Sterling Heights Lions Club at 6 PM \nWe assembled comfort bags for kids in need in our community on the second Monday of each month \nVolunteers are welcome to stop and learn about Susie Q’s Kids\, the nonprofit that will receive the comfort bags\, and about Lionism \nKids are welcome and encouraged to attend as we promote “Kids Helping Kids” \n  \n\nSusie Q’s Kids\n\nI have shared some information on how we started\, my books and speaking opportunities to raise hope\, healing\, suicide awareness\, and prevention (we were named the Community Partner of the Year for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention\, AFSP)\, and the role of positive reflection along with our nonprofit Susie Q’s Kids which provides comfort bags to kids in need in our community. The bags are tailored to the needs of the kids in various nonprofits\, some contain hygiene kits\, some grief material\, and some sensory items.\n\n\nWe are the Community Partner of the Year for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness (AFSP)\, we understand the mental health of our kids is important and hope our comfort bags provide some hope and healing.\n\n\nSusie Q’s Kids (a 501c3 nonprofit) provides comfort bags to kids in need in our community\, We strive to brighten and inspire the lives of children in hospitals\, shelters\, foster care\, dealing with autism or disabilities\, advocacy centers\, schools\, and those grieving the loss of loved ones “One comfort bag at a time”.\n\nOur mission is three-fold: \n\nTo further the missions of the nonprofits who distribute our comfort bags to kids in need in their programs: hospitals\, shelters\, foster care\, schools\, autism centers\, refuge centers\, advocacy centers\, camps\, and grief agencies.\nTo encourage “Kids in Helping Kids” through philanthropy\, fundraising\, and creating and distributing our comfort bags.\nTo brighten and inspire the lives of kids in need in our community\, one comfort bag at a time.\n\nBag Stuffing Event at Warren Cousino School/Leadership Group\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAround Town – Susie Q’s Kids with Cousino Leadership\nThe Cousino Leadership Students recently raised funds to help local children through Susie Q’s Kids.
