The lions club is a fantastic place that facilitates a lot of the work other NPOs do in Macomb county and does a tremendous amount of work and fundraising for a myriad of great causes in Macomb and the surrounding areas of the Metro.
This organization engages with the community finding ways to make a difference in the lives of those they assist. They serve those that are blind and sight challenged, deaf and hard of hearing, kids with cancer, kids with diabetes, and kids against hunger, all kids deserve to go to camp and deserve a measure of comfort.
Sterling Heights Lions Club is committed to making a difference and collaborating with local businesses, nonprofits, service groups, volunteers, and the community to Work Better Together.
Susie Q’s Kids Inc along with the support of the Sterling Heights Lions Club donated 80 bags to the Children’s Program at Turning Point Shelter. These bags are filled with personal need items, stickers, activity books, crayons, card games, a stuffed bear and a cozy blanket. These bags are given to the children when they enter shelter as a Welcome Bag. These bags always bring a smile to the children’s face and it offers some comfort.
